A glimpse into the world of Th0mas Art
All of the works shown here were generated using JavaScript - the majority with p5.js, and a few using plain (vanilla) JavaScript.

Rasterwerk (a German term referring to “gridwork” or “grid construction”) is a curated series of solo artworks by Th0mas Art. The series is inspired by architecture - especially grid-based structures, alongside the influences of Brutalism and Minimalism. These styles are strongly reflected not only in his artistic work but also in his personal life.

Echoes of the Dunes is a generative artwork inscribed on Bitcoin using parent-child provenance, launched on gamma.io in a limited edition of 20. It is inspired by sand dunes and aims to evoke the feeling of wind sweeping across them, continuously shaping new forms and patterns before the viewer’s eyes.

AOB – Art On Bitcoin is a generative artwork inscribed on Bitcoin using parent-child provenance, launched on gamma.io in a limited edition of 10. At the heart of the piece is a 3D Perlin noise function that shapes its visual structure and dynamic motion. It acts as a manifesto, underscoring the potential of generative art on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Loominals is Th0mas Art’s first generative art project on Bitcoin, featuring 128 uniquely minted editions. The initial inspiration for this project came from Tyler Hobbs' artwork One One Overflow. The idea was to create an artwork that resembles something woven on a loom. What sets this collection apart are its four simple yet distinct color palettes, designed to emphasize the aesthetic of traditional loom-woven fabric patterns. To add a unique twist, most pieces in the collection appear as if they were cut out with scissors - a tool commonly used in the craft of weaving. The project is inscribed using parent-child provenance and its name, Loominals is a blend of Loom and Ordinals.

Lost Transmissions is Th0mas Art’s first fully-onchain generative art project on Ethereum, featuring 128 uniquely minted editions. The project is inspired by the cathode ray tube (CRT) screens invented by Karl Ferdinand Braun in 1897. The project emulates the look and feel of a vintage CRT display, complete with a convex faceplate (outwardly bulged), which introduces characteristic distortions to the monochromatic artworks. Subtle details, such as uneven light reflections, mimic the appearance of washed-out areas on the screen.

Shattered is a generative art project on Tezos that reveals beauty within fragmentation. Using simple palettes, it creates dynamic compositions. Through algorithmic design, Shattered captures the interplay of color and texture, inviting viewers to find harmony in disarray and appreciate the art of reconstruction.

Silent Archetypes is a generative art project inspired by Andrew Strauss’s pixelated typefaces. The visuals may suggest architectural structures, ancient remnants, or cryptic symbols, often stirring personal memories, emotions, or a sense of familiarity.
