A look behind the creation of Loominals

Loominals is the first generative art project by Th0mas Art on Bitcoin. The idea was to create an artwork that resembles something woven on a loom.

The initial inspiration for this project came from Tyler Hobbs' artwork One One Overflow. He's a legendary presence in the generative art world and serves as a role model for me and many other artists in the space. His most well-known projects include Fidenza and QQL.

I strongly recommend checking out Tyler's Website.

What sets this collection apart are its four simple yet distinct color palettes, designed to emphasize the aesthetic of traditional loom-woven fabric patterns.

To add a unique twist, most pieces in the collection appear as if they were cut out with scissors - a tool commonly used in the craft of weaving. The name Loominals is a blend of Loom and Ordinals.

The project launched in March 2025 on Gamma, a Bitcoin-based art marketplace, with a total supply of 128 mints. All minted pieces and secondary market activity can be viewed on their website or on Magic Eden.
